Grief & Bereavement

Bereavement is the period after someone close to us has died - with all the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that ensues. Grief  is our reaction to losses of any kind, including the losses people experience when someone is dying or seriously ill for a long time. It is the thoughts and feelings we experience as we try to come to terms with what has happened, and is also the process of finding ways to cope with a person's death. With a listening, understanding ear and various therapeutic tools, I can take this journey with you and help you find useful ways to come to terms with your loss.

Anxiety & Depression

Depression and anxiety are different conditions, but they commonly occur together.  Anxiety is a feeling of unease, such as worry or fear, that can be mild or severe.  Feeling anxious can be perfectly normal. But some people find it hard to control their worries and this can often affect their daily lives.

Depression is when a sad mood lasts for a long time and interferes with normal, everyday functioning and you feel discouraged, sad, hopeless, unmotivated, or disinterested in life in general. I work with you to find the root cause of these feelings and look for coping mechanisms to help you free yourself from them.

Workplace stress & anxiety

Stress is a reaction to feeling under pressure or threatened, usually when we do not feel we can manage or control situations we are in. In a workplace setting, stress may arise when work demands and pressures do  not match our knowledge and abilities and so challenge our ability to cope. Together, we can talk things through and help you to work out strategies you can use to relieve or remove such pressures and demands and remove the stress
